Before Sturtze there was Frank Fancher. Check out this recently re-discovered recording of Champion Frank Fancher playing.

Thanks for posting!

I think this is pretty cool. Some of the accents sound flammed, I'm sure due to the recording environment.

The guy was 75 when this was recorded!

Yeah, the thing that really surprised me was the amount of swing in the drumming. Very cool without being corny.
