This is one of several exercises that I play everyday to loosen up my hands. Certainly nothing earth shattering,
but an exercise that changes from right hand lead to left hand lead. The exercise moves from single strokes,
to double strokes and into what I call inverted double strokes:

I like the triplet version...keeps me on my toes psychologically, and forces me to open up my doubles and stay in tempo. On the parts where the second note of the double falls on a downbeat is especially helpful, a good way to concentrate on giving equal velocity to BOTH beats.
